Films: Island of the Fishmen (1979)
Alias: None
Type: Man-Made
Location: Ocean/Cave
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: As if no one learned from those weird cyborg fishmen more than a decade ago, we now have a new, more biological army of disgusting scaled beings. May we have pity on all of them.
History: A scientist by the name of Dr. Ernest Marvin managed to figure out a way to turn regular humans into fishmen. He did this hoping to breed a race that would find food from the sea with greater ease. But the greedy Edmond Rackham convinced him to make more from people who didn't ask for a different purpose. These fishmen would help him raid Atlantis under his control. Marvin was none the wiser, and Rackham had his eye on the prize.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: Eventually, as the prophecy foretold, the volcano that doomed Atlantis erupts again. In the middle of this, the fishmen regain control over themselves, and slaughter Rackham as the eruption kills them all. All but one, though...
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 2-Try as they might with their sheer numbers, they can't get past their own cheaply made suits and ridiculous googly eyes. For God's sake, one gets beaned over the head with a shovel!
Trivia: -This film is often known as "Screamers".
-Speaking of "Screamers", that was the title of this film's re-release when the original proved to be a bit underwhelming. It contains a rather disturbing bit of footage of a pre-fishman being inside out.
